The Hotel Inglaterra, the oldest in Cuba, is considered today a true jewel representing the colonial period. It was opened in 1875 in the very center of Havana, a few steps from the Paseo del Prado, next to the Gran Teatro de La Habana and facing the charming Parque Central. Its restaurant “El Colonial” offers exquisite dishes of international cuisine and its menu has been designed by different Cuban artists, who, in turn, have donated valuable personal works for the decoration of the hotel. Its renowned Café-Restaurant “El Louvre” continues to be an unparalleled attraction, as it was in the 19th century, due to its excellent location in front of the Central Park, at the entrance to the very heart of Havana.
