If you want a decent-priced all-inclusive holiday where you will be looked after by wonderful people in a peaceful, romantic & truly inspirational setting, you should visit Club Amigo Costasur hotel.

Just outside both Playa Ancon & Trinidad, Costasur sits above a cove with a caramel-coloured beach & crystal clear waters, populated by fascinating tropical marine life. There is a real peaceful ambience about this place, from the picturesque beach to the distant magnificence of the Sierra Escambray Mountains.

Club Amigo Costasur is a medium-sized resort with everything within easy reach. It has undergone extensive recent renovation &, while you may find some areas still in need of TLC, the grounds & communal areas are clean & well maintained. There is a main swimming pool & separate paddling pool for children, with other activities including tennis, volleyball, a health spa & non-motorised beach watersports. The beach is also private so you can relax & enjoy the sun in peace, though snorkelling is recommended.

Apart from the magnificent location, your abiding memory of Costasur hotel will be its attentive, friendly & very helpful staff, who put great effort into a fun range of daytime activities & evening shows. The hotel’s 3 bars (lobby, pool & beach) serve excellent cocktails, while the nightlife of Trinidad is just a short taxi ride away. Costasur’s buffet & a la carte restaurants provide both variety & good quality food, while there is also a snack bar. Guests can also choose to eat outside & enjoy the stunning views from the a la carte restaurant’s patio.

Club Amigo Costasur is an older resort with a cosy, friendly charm. It will suit anyone looking for a relaxing, good-value holiday, particularly those who enjoy Cuban hospitality & stunning scenery.

Details of Bungalow
Costasur’s colourful detached bungalows are well worth the upgrade, being much more spacious, colourful & private than standard rooms. The bungalows are detached & have modern décor, a separate living room & fridge – though arguably their greatest quality is their location. Set along the beach, what could be more idyllic than sitting out in your own private area, overlooking the ocean and watching the sunsets and star-punctured skies above the mountains?

Guide to Playa Ancon
Playa Ancon, 12km south of Trinidad, got its name from a black rock on Punta Maria Aguilar that one served as landmark for sailors. Because it seemed to resemble the leg of a horse, it was nicknamed ancona (hind leg). Over the centuries, ocean currents have built up 4km of soft, white beach here, and a few hundred meters offshore is an excellent reef for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Since the late 1980s, Playa Ancon has been developed for international tourism and now hosts several large hotels facing the warm Caribbean. Many visitors arrive on package tours and stay at one of these resorts. Playa Ancon makesan ideal base from which to explore the architectural treasures of nearby Trinidad and the forested Sierra del Escambray. Not as overwhelmed by tourism as Varadero or Guardalavaca, it's a good choice for a Cuban holiday.
