Hotelu v centru města
The Hotel Tejadillo is a rather eccentric establishment, with a curious though not unpleasant layout and an even more peculiar but quite useful range of facilities. The warren-like floor plan is due to the hotel being composed of three restored Havana mansions dating from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The location is ideal, just round the corner from Cathedral Square, and the corner bar has tall windows facing onto San Ignacio and Tejadillo Streets. There are two courtyards; one with tables for breakfast or drinks with a large and slightly overpowering mural of colonial architecture, the other full of marvelously bushy ferns and a Yagruma tree whose vast leaves occasionally crash to the ground, startling unsuspecting bystanders. The entrance hall has tall windows, traditional colonial window grilles and fanlights, high ceilings and positively chintzy armchairs and is decorated with paintings by local artists and also with bonsai trees, which hold an inexplicable fascination for Old Havana interior designers. The staff is helpful and the hotel clean and welcoming, but it is not perhaps the best accommodation for architectural historians who may spend their holidays trying to puzzle out the establishment’s surreal spatial divisions.

Detaily Standartní pokoj
The 30 standard rooms at the Tejadillo tend to be generously sized and most of those which can be converted to triples are enormous and contain fully equipped kitchen units. They have well-made faux Colonial furniture mixed with modern wrought iron pieces. Large windows give excellent views of the street below. The bathrooms are small and tend to be a bit dimly lit, but are clean and functional. Half of the rooms have matrimonial beds and the other half are twin bedded.

Průvodce po Old Havana
The heart and soul of Havana is the old town Habana Vieja, declared a Heritage of Mankind Site in 1982 by UNESCO. It was keen to preserve the beauty of its architecture and promote the historical importance of its role within the region.

The following are just some of the interesting places to visit: Plaza de Armas, centred around a statue of the patriot Cespedes and emcompassed by shaded marble benches and second-hand booksellers, is the first public square built in the city. Plaza de la Catedral is perhaps the most beautiful square in the Caribbean which is surrounded by examples of the finest baroque architecture in the country. El Templete, small neoclassical temple which marks the spot where the first Mass was said in 1519. Castillo de la Real Fuerza is one of the oldest forts in the Americas, it holds modern art exhibitions downstairs and the battlements afford good views over the harbour. Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, the seat of government and governor's residence was transferred from the fort to the built. The presidential palace and then the municipal palace until Castro seized power it is now Museo de la Ciudad de la Habana. Museo de Arte Colonial, fine palace constructed in 1720, its yellow courtyard and little-altered architectural features are complemented by a large collection of 17th- and 18th-century furniture. Calle Obispo is Old Havana's most important and smartest thoroughfare, pedestrianized with missile heads as bollards.
